Natural Raw Blue Sapphire Ring with 10K Gold

To the ancient and medieval world, Sapphire of heavenly blue signified the height of celestial hope and faith, and was believed to bring protection, good fortune and spiritual insight. Blue Sapphire ranges in hue from pale to deep azure or dark royal blue, to indigo, with the most highly desired color being the velvety cornflower blue. This earthy natural blue Sapphire is wrapped in a bezel of 10K solid gold. The sapphire has a unique texture that has some natural sparkle to it and the color reminds me of blue water glistening in the sun. This ring is stunning worn alone or with other stacking bands.

This raw blue sapphire is wrapped in a solid 10K gold bezel and rests upon a sterling silver closed backing. The 10K gold setting measures approximately 8.5mm x 6mm and sits upon a 2mm hammered sterling silver, round band. The setting has been given a polished finish and the band has a satin matte finish to contrast against the deep blue sapphire.
