Australian Opal Doublet Ring with 10K Gold

This beautiful natural Australian Opal Doublet is the color of the deep blue ocean. It appears uniform in color at first glance but in different angles of sunlight, it comes to life with subtle flashes of vivid green and electric light blue. Opals are fascinating and have different layers of dimension to them that flash brightly in different kinds of light. The photographs here show a bit of the flash but in direct sunlight there is so much more to see.

The opal is bezel set in 10K solid gold with a closed fine silver backing. The setting measures 13.2mm x 8.2mm. The setting rests on a 2mm x 1.4mm tarnish resistant sterling silver band. This ring has been given a polished finish. This ring is a Size 7 and I can enlarge it to a Size 7.25, Size 7.5, Size 7.75 or Size 8.
