Lapis Lazuli Ring with 10K Gold

The deep, celestial blue of Lapis Lazuli remains the symbol of royalty and honor, gods and power, spirit and vision. It is a universal symbol of wisdom and truth.

In ancient times Lapis Lazuli was highly regarded because of its beautiful blue color and the valuable ultramarine dye that came from it. It is a gemstone formed by multiple minerals, mostly Lazurite, Sodalite, Calcite and Pyrite, and is a rich medium to royal blue with gold flecks (pyrite). Lower-grade Lapis is lighter blue with more white than gold flecks, and is sometimes called denim Lapis.

This is a stunning rose cut, deep rich blue, lapis stone. The faceted Lapis is magical as it catches the light at every angle! I have surrounded this precious lapis in a 10k solid gold bezel to enhance the gold flecks that are present within the blue stone. The entire setting is made from a base of sterling silver. The pop of gold against the silver makes this ring shine.

The setting shown in this listing measures 18mm x 14mm and the actual stone is 17mm by 13mm. Each individual stone is approximately the same general size but may have slightly different dimensions. I have Lapis in my inventory and more gems will be posted soon. You may choose your Lapis gem. The lapis is wrapped in 10K solid gold and rests upon a sterling silver closed backing. The sterling silver hammered ring band measures 2.2mm wide and is 2mm thick. If you would like the stone in a vertical orientation (in line with the finger) please let me know in your buyer's notes.
